Science Circus is a hands-on science holiday camp where children become Junior Scientists for the day. Through exciting experiments, engineering challenges, and scientific investigations, children explore how the world works while building creativity, confidence, and curiosity. Led by Dr Markus, Science Circus combines real science with the fun and imagination of a science adventure.

Science Circus is designed for children aged 6–12 years old. Activities are carefully designed so younger children can participate successfully, while older children are encouraged to take on additional challenges and leadership roles. No previous science experience is required — curiosity is the only requirement!

Each day is a new scientific adventure. No. While children learn real science concepts, Science Circus is designed as an adventure rather than a classroom. Children learn through curiosity, teamwork, experimentation, and discovery. The focus is on asking questions, trying ideas, and having fun while exploring science.

Yes. Safety is our highest priority. All activities are carefully selected for children aged 6–12 and supervised throughout the day. Children learn how scientists work safely, including how to handle equipment responsibly and follow laboratory safety practices. Science Circus is run by Dr Markus Domogala, who holds a valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) and has experience working in scientific and engineering environments.

Science Circus was created and is led by Dr Markus Domogala, a scientist and engineer with a PhD from the University of Sydney. With a background in materials science and engineering research, Dr Markus is passionate about making science exciting and accessible for children. His goal is to show children that science is not just something you learn — it is something you explore, create, and experience.

Children should bring: A packed lunch A refillable water bottle A hat Comfortable clothes suitable for hands-on activities Closed shoes A curious mind! We recommend clothing that children can comfortably wear while experimenting and building.

No. Children should bring their own lunch. A fridge and microwave are available for children who need them. A small snack will be provided during the day, such as fruit and crackers. Please provide any allergy or dietary information during registration.

That is completely normal! Many children arrive on their first day without knowing anyone. The morning scientist briefing, team activities, and group challenges are designed to help children feel comfortable, make friends, and become part of the Science Circus team. Every child is encouraged to participate at their own pace and discover science in a supportive environment.

Both options are available. Children can join us for a single day or attend the full 5-day Science Circus adventure. Each day has its own theme and activities, so children can enjoy a complete experience even if they only attend one day.

We love capturing the excitement of children discovering science, building creations, and completing challenges! Photos may occasionally be taken during Science Circus activities for sharing highlights with families and for promotional purposes, such as our website or social media. During registration, parents and guardians can provide consent for photography. We respect families who prefer their child not to be photographed, and this will not affect their participation in the camp.
